The IT Resource Center (ITRC) provides a single entry point to comprehensive, customized support information, tools, education and user forums from HP. This one-stop World Wide Web location helps you manage your software and hardware computing environment according to your needs; the site contains applications that share a common registration and user identification process, so you can quickly find the information, software and resources you need.
If you are familiar with the IT Resource Center name, that's because the name and Web site (itrc.hp.com) have been active since April 1999. Beginning in October 1999, the new IT Resource Center has offered combined maintenance and support; training and education; and user forums at this single Web site.
The current IT Resource Center (ITRC) is comprised of these major elements:
ITRC Area Name Old Name Activities
Maintenance and
 support
Electronic Support Center Hardware and software support solutions, services and tools
training and
 education
IT Resource Center Training courses, seminars

In order to utilize a service on the IT Resource Center:
  • You must meet the access requirements for that service.
  • The service must be available in your geography.
  • Your warranty or support agreement must be linked to your IT Resource Center User ID (if applicable).
access requirements
Access requirements vary by ITRC service. You may browse some services and register only if you decide to purchase that service(s). Other services require registration in the ITRC and warranty, care pack, or support agreement coverage with HP. Access requirements are discussed in detail, by service, under main topics on the online help page for each respective area (for example, online help - maintenance and support).
geographic availability
In order for you to use a service, it must be activated by HP in the country or region where you will be using it. Even if you otherwise qualify for a service, if it is not available in your geographical area, you will not be able to use it. Geographic availability, by service, can be found under  main topics  on the online help page for each respective area (for example, online help - maintenance and support).
linking your coverage with your user ID
If you have warranty, care pack, or support agreement coverage, you need to link this coverage to your ITRC User ID. This process enables ITRC to provide access to all of your entitled services. Linking warranties, care packs, or support agreements to your ITRC User ID is typically done at the time when you register for the IT Resource Center, but can be accomplished at any time via My Profile.
Once logged in to the ITRC, you can perform the following activities to review or enable services on the ITRC:
  • Review warranties, care packs, and support agreements currently linked to your User ID.
  • Link one or more qualifying warranties, care packs, or support agreements to your User ID to formalize your entitlement to additional ITRC services.
how to obtain entitlement to the service you need
If you need to use an IT Resource Center service for which you do not currently qualify, contact your HP representative to have your support coverage upgraded.
